It’s been a week since our dreams finally came true after BTOB held their solo fan-con 2024 “OUR DREAM” in Manila at the SM Mall of Asia Arena on April 7, 2024. Manila was the next stop after they successfully held their first fan-con in Seoul Olympic Park last March 22 to 24.
The Filo Melodies waited for a long time to finally meet BTOB. It’s been 7 years since the last performance of the group in Manila on the exact same stage. A few minutes before an enchanting night, Filo melodies proved that they are fans of the vocal kings when they sang “MISSING YOU” while waving their lightsticks, creating a sea of blue.
Eunkwang, Minhyuk, Changsub, Hyunsik, and Peniel entered the stage with “The Song,” receiving intense cheers from the crowd. The group’s outstanding live vocals heated up the atmosphere. The members expressed their gratefulness to be back in Manila after such a long time. “Long time, no see,” said Changsub. Minhyuk even described the filo melodies as “Ang ganda niyo pa rin.”
The kilig was replaced by laughter when Eunkwang responded “Hay Naku” to Hyunsik’s message to the fans.
BTOB continued to showcase their live performances with “PRAY (I’LL BE YOUR MAN), and “HIGHER.” The members know how to capture the hearts of the fans when they hosted and played their 99 second relay challenge. They ended the first part of the fan-con by serenading the fans with “IT’S OKAY.”
The members were back on-stage wearing denim outfit and performed “DAY & NIGHT” and “WISH AND WISH” both from their latest 12th mini album.
Eunkwang surprised the fans when he sang few lines of SB19’s hit song MAPA., “We wish we have Philippine music performance.”
On their second segment, “From Melody,” BTOB continued to interact with the fans. The members selected random messages written by fans such wishing a lucky filo melody a happy birthday, attempting the filo word “Nakakapagpabagabag,” and dancing to the chorus of TWS’s “PLOT TWIST.” They also mentioned that they like the Filipino foods “Sinigang” and “Halo-Halo.”
BTOB members didn’t forget to cheer for their maknae, Sungjae who weren’t unable to join them due to important schedule.
Following the performances of “ONLY ONE FOR ME” and “BEAUTIFUL PAIN,” a heartwarming video by Filo Melodies on how they were inspired by BTOB was shown on screen. The fans raised the banners with a message, “Our Dreams with BTOB finally came true.” The members in return expressed their gratitude for all the support.
Minhyuk: You guys always give me happiness. I promise you once again (that) I will definitely come back to the Philippines soon. Thank you for coming, thank you for shouting for us and thank you for supporting us. Thank you! I love you”
As a thank you to the fans, BTOB performed their hit song “MISSING YOU.”
BTOB wrapped up their fan-con with energetic performances of “BLOWIN’ UP” and “FINALE (OUR CONCERT)”.
Like BTOB, Filo Melodies will never forget this memory. Seeing such amazing performances and strong vocals from the group is indeed a dream come true. Everyone left the venue with smile on their faces.
