A new movement, a new wave, tears down the barriers as the KWAVE Music Festival is set to bring K-pop and P-pop to one stage on May 11, 2024.

On March 8, 2024, the CEO’s of SDG Marketing Korea, Ms. Meeyon Kim (Karry), along with Show Biz Town, Inc. Mr. Geong Seong Han, popularly known as ‘Tatang Robin’, announced the biggest music festival, the sport and entertainment event called Badminton Asia Closing Ceremony KWAVE Music Festival. The most thrilling KWAVE music festival will supposedly be held at the New Clark City Athletics Stadium on May 11, 2024. It has a seating capacity of 22,2000, along with a food and beverage booth, a sponsor zone, and a ticket booth. However, with the latest announcement from SDG Marketing Korea, the venue and the second wave will be postponed.

“Due to concerns about accessibility and the desire to provide a more favorable environment, we are taking into consideration about changing the venue of the festival…”

They also said that they will have an ‘Audition Zone’ for everyone wherein fans can participate and showcase their talents. For the cheapest price with the early bird discount of 20% is PHP 1,600 for Regular Sides (Left and Right). In addition, this promo will run from March 11 to 17, 2024 and the regular prices will apply starting from May 2024 until the day itself. It will also have a package for transportation shuttles for those fans who will be having a hard time commuting.

According to Ms. Meeyon Kim, “We lower the ticket price, so we know what people want to have versus the money that we spend on the sides, and we cut off the roof of the stage instead of spending arms and legs on things you don’t even know why they exist, versus we turn around and give it all back to the fans.”

The first wave of the line-up consists of incredible K-pop artists THE BOYZ and Fromis_9, while the artists that will represent the P-pop scene are PLUSS and YGIG. Furthermore, the KWAVE Music Festival will have a live stream in South Korea.

Music is a universal language, and that is the objective of the KWAVE music festival: to bring different artists from different cultures together on one stage. Who’s ready for the second lineup? Stay tuned for more updates!

Tickets are now available online and offline at the SM Tickets outlet.
