If you’re looking for K-pop tracks that are guaranteed to make you dance, you can rely on iKON’s stellar discography to give you just that. While some of their songs are perfect when you’re feeling sentimental, most are absolute bangers that have topped the charts. And since our boys will be back in town on August 5 for their “TAKE OFF” concert at the Araneta Coliseum, we came up with a list of their must-listen singles that will surely hype you up!
‘Tantara’
When iKON starts the party, expect them to never ever press stop (*winks*). ‘Tantara’ is an energizing track from their 3rd full-length album, “TAKE OFF,” which takes us back to old school hip-hop—in my head, this would be perfect as an OST for Netflix’s movie, “Seoul Vibe.” Watch out for the instrumental and dance break in the music video!
‘SINOSIJAK’
You know it’s showtime once iKON performs ‘SINOSIJAK.’ Released in 2018, the EDM-inspired number starts with lively beats that build anticipation to its raging and catchy chorus. Trust us, it will make you scream SI-NO-SI-JAK in no time!
‘Dragon’
Another electrifying iKON song is ‘Dragon’ from their 4th mini-album ‘FLASHBACK.’ I love that the unique and diverse vocals of the members were highlighted here, and I can’t wait to get up from my seat and jump once they set the stage on fire with this!
‘But You’
Also from ‘FLASHBACK’ is my favorite iKON title track ‘But You,’ which is more on the laidback-but-still-giving-party-vibes side. I was in awe of its nostalgic twist the first time I heard it, but I fell even harder because of its meaning. ICYDK, ‘But You’ is a synthpop love letter about longing for someone even if things have already changed (how can you not melt with lyrics such as “Don’t want no one but you”?). Fun fact: A Filipino-Australian songwriter co-wrote this song and her name is Vetta Borne!
‘Killing Me’
‘Killing Me’ had me feeling all types of emotions in a span of 3 minutes and 14 seconds. It’s a heart-wrenching number with a buildup so iconic, you’ll forget all other song buildups once you listen to it. ‘Killing Me’ is like a slow-burn movie that will end up in your list of favorites because everything about it—the dramatic appeal, the unique arrangement, the stunning choreography—is just simply iconic.
‘B-DAY’
With lyrics like “It’s going to be a long night, it’s far too early to go home Empty your glasses, keep this vibe up,” iKON reminds us in this fun and upbeat song that life should be spent having a good time. So go ahead and pop that bottle of champagne, fellow fan!
‘Rhythm Ta’
Two words for ‘Rhythm Ta’: Crazy intense. This song is probably iKON’s most powerful anthem to date which has spun several dance covers from other K-pop groups. While ‘Love Scenario’ received all the love, ‘Rhythm Ta’ totally solidified iKON’s musicality. We gon’ get it pop it, we gon’, we gon’ get it pop it!
