Although the show started around an hour late, the production and Jessi all had Jebbies in mind considering it’s a Friday payday night and traffic had really slowed down the arrival time of fans.

Nonetheless, the show started off with high anticipation as lights dimmed and Jessi’s voiceover started playing over a mantra she tells herself, ending with Jessi coming out to What Type of X.

The concert was filled with songs, both viral and beloved, Jebbies just completely jammed to. A few particular songs fans were happy to hear were ‘Don’t Touch Me’ by Refund Sisters and ‘Numb’. Refund Sisters being Jessi’s girl group project with Hwasa, Lee Hyori, and Uhm Jung Hwa.

Not needing a translator, the show felt even more up close and personal. She later on explained that the voiceover part of her entrance is something she always tells herself when something is hard for to get through. She reminds herself “You got this”, which later on she reiterates again and again to her fans asking “You guys got me, right?” only to be fully assured by PH Jebbies.

Although Jessi looked stunning, she started talking about how her outfit was uncomfortable early on. But even then, she went on to preach that she’s already 33 and her body won’t look like what it does now forever, so she’ll wear what she wants and tells Jebbies to do the same.

Jessi teared up and choked a bit multiple times during the show after hearing how loud the fans scream for her first concert ever.

Even before coming to the Philippines, Jessi had already hyped up Filipino fans a lot, having heard from her friends and online that fans sing along to every lyrics of the song during concerts

All throughout the concert, Jessi had been dropping life advice for her fans. All coming from her own experience.

Jessi also had mentioned that she had been going through the worst time lately, she shared that she had just lost a friend recently and she hadn’t had the time to mourn. This could also explain why she’s found the necessity to share life advice during the show. Another advice she shared is to always take pictures of everything because photos are the only thing that lasts.

We could not be happier with how Jessi kept saying “I love Philippines” and that she would come back soon! We’ll welcome her again just as warm!

We would also like to commend Neuwave Productions for making Jessi’s first concert in Manila such a success and for making the show a night to remember.
