You’re probably wondering why Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo were put into a unit together?

NCT DoJaeJung was a subunit we never knew we needed. SM Entertainment announced their debut last March and released their debut album, entitled ‘Perfume’ last April.

The three was first hinted as a unit during their 2nd tour encore concert, The Link +, where they performed an unreleased song entitled ‘Can We Go Back’. This song was received well by the fans and they also performed it during MBC Gayo Daejejeon last year.

Despite  them performing as a unit in their concert, nobody really thought of it much as it’s not uncommon for NCT 127 to perform unreleased songs as units during their concerts. But low and behold! That was actually the start of NCT DoJaeJung.

Why is it that these 3 were put into a subunit? Some may say it was just experimental and when the fans loved their performance before, but we think it’s because these three were meant to be in a subunit where it’s just them. These three have incredible vocal tones, as Doyoung is one of NCT 127’s main vocal (main slayer in our books), Jaehyun with his incredible visuals and his deep baritone voice (a voice that can honestly make us melt), and Jungwoo with his his diverse vocal tone and his amazing dance lines (main performer things)!

And because of those main points (or shall I say main slays), here’s why we think they’re a match made in heaven!

Doyoung’s vocal prowess is INSANE!

Doyoung is one of the 3 main vocalists in NCT 127. He’s also the 1st in their unit to be in a musical, which mind you, takes so much vocal power to be in.

I mean have you listened to the man sing? It’s like the angels have gone down from heaven to serenade us! Let’s also bring back an old video of him from King of Masked Singer, where he sang ‘Beautiful’ from the hit K-Drama “Goblin”.

His voice mixed with Jaehyun’s velvety baritone voice and Jungwoo’s amazingly smooth vocal tone is truly something that makes this unit *chef’s kiss*!

Jaehyun’s deep sexy voice and distractingly handsome face

Now this man knows how to make women go crazy over him. He’s got that face that you’d love to marry and a deep sexy voice that can make you melt in an instant.

Jaehyun’s known to have one of the deepest vocal ranges in the whole of SM Entertainment. And boy does he know how to use it!

He knows how to utilize his deep voice when he sings in harmony with his members or when he raps, and yes my boy raps too!

But he doesn’t only show off his singing and his visuals. He also shows off how great of a dancer he is. His part in their song ‘Perfume’ even became a hit on tiktok!

Other than Jaehyun’s voice blending well with Jungwoo and Doyoung, Jaehyun’s dance lines match well with Jungwoo’s smooth dance moves.

Jungwoo’s vocal color and graceful dance moves

Now as part of the maknae line in NCT 127, he’s bound to show his cute side to his hyungs. But don’t let that cute adorable face get to you. This man’s voice and dance moves are off the charts!

Jungwoo knows what to do with his body when he dances, from making the choreography fluid to adapting to the vibe the song and their members bring out in the choreography. Personal favorite is his duo dance with Haechan during ‘Kick It’!

Jungwoo may not be the main vocal in NCT 127 but that does not mean he’s not a main slayer and main vocal in our eyes (and ears).

Listen to him! He’s got such stable vocals that you just can’t help but admire. You’ll get to see more of those as NCT DoJaeJung and the rest of NCT release more songs in the future. For now, listen to their 1st Mini Album – ‘Perfume’ and be amazed by his outstanding vocals!

Ovation Production is bringing these 3 handsome talented men to Manila for their 1st ever “NCT DoJaeJung’s Scented Symphony: Perfume FanCon in Manila”, which will be held in the SM Mall of Asia Arena on June 24, 2023!

Tickets are still available via SM Tickets online and outlets nationwide.
