On June 1, 2024, Filipino ONCEs were thrilled as the K-pop girl group TWICE returned to the country for a Snacktacular Fan Meet held at the SM Mall of Asia Arena, made possible by Oishi. The day began with an exclusive press conference hosted by Robi Domingo at the Grand Hyatt Manila.
The press conference kicked off with warm greetings and a photo session with the media. TWICE members Jihyo, Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu looked stunning in customized Oishi outfits that perfectly suited each member.
The event continued with TWICE answering burning questions and sharing personal stories. Here’s a short recap:
O, Wow O, Wow Moments
Jeongyeon expressed her gratitude for holding their most recent concert in a much larger venue in the Philippines, the Philippine Arena. This moment was particularly memorable for her.
Chaeyoung reminisced about their 2019 concert in Manila, mentioning how Dahyun, despite being sick, delivered an outstanding performance on stage.
Sana shared a cute moment where the members discussed their favorite Oishi snacks and which ones they found most delicious. She even mentioned Jeongyeon giving Oishi snacks to media personnel in South Korea, who found them incredibly tasty.
When asked why they decided to partner with Oishi, Dahyun explained, “Firstly, all the members love snacks! Secondly, Oishi is a brand that represents the Philippines, and is a famous brand here. We wanted to collaborate with Oishi to create a good synergy with snacks in the Philippines.”
Sweet Memories and Gifts
MiChaeng fans were delighted with an adorable moment between Mina and Chaeyoung, highlighting their sweet friendship.
Tzuyu recalled a memorable Christmas when Momo gave all the members pajamas with cute packaging.
The members also shared stories about gifts they had received. Nayeon received an air purifier from Jeongyeon, while Sana got a wall clock from Mina.
Jihyo and Momo, who aren’t fond of spicy foods, admitted that the iconic Oishi Prawn Crackers were tolerable for them, making it a must-try for spicy food lovers.
Future Plans and Tagalog Fun
Jihyo expressed her desire to try the famous Filipino dessert, Halo-Halo. Tzuyu mentioned that it had been a long time since the group had a vacation together, so they planned to reserve a restaurant for a special meal. Momo shared her excitement to try delicious restaurants in the Philippines with her fellow members.
The day wouldn’t have been complete without TWICE speaking Tagalog in the most adorable way, delighting their Filipino fans.
The members also point out the Oishi snacks they fancy.
