“We kept the promise,” Super Junior leader Leeteuk said as he greeted the PH ELFs at the start of their Super Show 9: Road in Manila concert at the SM Mall of Asia last December 17. The group finally returned for a two-day concert last December 17 and 18.
The fans gathered once again for another sapphire blue ocean filled night that illuminated the entire arena. The boys started the concert with their songs ‘The Crown’ and ‘Burn The Floor’, which was a powerful way to begin their show.

Leeteuk told the PH ELFs, “We kept the promise.”
They say promises are meant to be broken, but with Super Junior and PH ELFs, promises are meant to be kept. And that, they did as they come back to the Philippines for the concert as their previous schedule last August was postponed.
The fans were moved by this exchange between Eunhyuk and Siwon that night.
It was truly an emotional sight to see as Eunhyuk and Siwon sat side by side as they sang ‘My Wish’.
Fanservice King, ‘Lee Donghae’!
The Super Show would be incomplete without the fanservice king himself, Donghae! He was always known for his genuine interaction with fans, taking their phones and taking pictures with them. The sweetest!

They took a polaroid from a fan and had Shindong take a picture of the members!
The greatest Christmas gift.
Super Junior wishes the PH ELFs a Merry Christmas, and Eunhyuk says that the fans are their Christmas presents.
Day 1’s highlights were slightly more emotional as they have just started a weekend full of kept promises and love! Let’s move on to Day 2’s highlights.
Donghae and his one too many mojitos.
During their MENT, Donghae spilled some tea about himself after their concert the day before. He said that he had mojitos and having drank a little alcohol made him feel good. This made ELFs laugh as everyone felt as if they could relate.
Super Junior just having fun on stage.
It’s no secret that this group is so unserious. They just really know how to have fun and are genuinely funny guys. So it’s no surprise that they made the stage a fun environment.

Each member tried to show off dance moves approaching the end of the song and Ryeowook and Eunhyuk made a comedic move as they tried to take each other’s jackets off.

There were plenty of moments where Kyuhyun and Siwon were having the time of their lives on stage and their interactions were so adorable.
The final song of the night – ‘White Love’.
The final song of the night was ‘White Love’ from their 11th Album The Road: Celebration, which their recent comeback title track ‘Celebrate’ came from. The boys were happily picking up fan gifts on the stage and interacting with ELFs one last time before they ended the show.
December 17 and 18 was a weekend that PH ELFs and Super Junior will never forget. Cheers to the friendship and bond that both have created through the years and a special thank you to PULP Live World and Happee Sy – Go for making this event happen.
