Time flies so fast as they celebrate their 14 years together! The cast of the longest variety show in Korea, Running Man, made their way to give joy and a memorable experience as they returned to Manila for their ‘RUN 2 U’ concert on July 6, 2024, at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The cast of Running Man Philippines (Mikael Daez, Glaiza De Castro, Buboy Villar, Kokoy De Santos, Miguel Tanfelix, and Lexi Gonzales) opens the stage with an impressive performance as they introduce Running Man. Filipino fans greet them with a warm welcome as they perform their version of BTS ‘Spring Day’. The evening was filled with laughter and joy as the cast of Running Man Yoo Jae-suk, HahaJee Seok-JinKim Jong-kook, Yang Se Chan, and Song Ji-hyo brought another core memory to every PH runner. Kring Kim and Ryan Bang made it comfortable and fun, as they were the hosts for the event. These are some of the highlights of the first part of the show: our flower boy, Yang Se Chan, was asked about his most handsome part of the body, and it was his adorable tummy! On the other hand, Song Ji Hyo also taught us some slang Korean words, such as Pom Michutda (폼 미쳤다), which means “cool or crazy.”

“I say Pom, you say Michutda”—a fun interaction between Seok Jin and Ph runners that made them burst into laughter.

The first segment is called “What’s Next?” apparently they need to guess the next word from a specific episode on their program, and whoever guesses it right will be the winner. The second segment is “All about K-pop.” In this game, they were asked to guess the song with the help of the audience. It was hilarious to see them being competitive while at the same time having fun.

Ph runners are indeed innovative and talented in re-creating some of the costumes of the running man cast on the show. Aside from the chance they get from meeting the squad, they also played a ‘telepathy’ game, and the winner gets to take a solo group picture with the members.

Hands down to Running Man because they prepared not just a solo stage but also a unit stage for their Filipino fans. It was undoubtedly remarkable, as they showcased their talent for every performance.

The members kept on mentioning that they were grateful for the support and love they received, and in exchange, they returned for the second time here in the Philippines, with almost 4 hours of concert, and personally, that was the longest concert that I have been to. It is worth it; the experience and being part of this journey of the Running Man will be cherished forever. As promised, they will come back.

Running Man was definitely a huge success because they have been in the industry for 14 years already, and they aired their first episode on July 11, 2010. Let’s still run with Running Man!

Thank you so much to PULP Live World for bringing Running Man to Manila!
