#OVERPASSinMNL: A Euphoric Night with B.I, Somi, and Baekhyun

June 11, 2023 was a night that EXO-Ls, Sommungchis, and IDs waited for. This night marked the first time Somi ever got to perform in Manila, Baekhyun’s return since 2019, and B.I’s 3rd visit to Manila since 2022. 

Here are the top performances that made everyone either jump off their seats or scream at the top of their lungs:

B.I’s BTBT and Cosmos

Even if you’re not a fan but are into K-HipHop or Rap, BTBT is a song that’s surely already in your playlist even before coming to the concert.

B.I surely knows how to make the crowd vibe with him and his songs, despite not everyone are his fans alone. During his hour-long set list, he performed 18 songs. He made everyone get up on their feet to jump and dance along with every song he performed. It felt like a water bomb concert, but just without the water.

This man even did a Tik Tok with the Manila crowd!

His last and final song of the night was Cosmos. After all the jumping and screaming with his songs, his setlist has come to an end with our universe with him, Cosmos!

JEON SOMI’s XOXO and Birthday

Somi started her set with a song that most of the people in the coliseum knew, XOXO. Everyone sang along to XOXO and screamed for our Barbie princess! Can’t lie, it’s a song that’s so catchy I’m pretty sure it’s one of those “Last Song Syndrome” moments with everyone.

This isn’t a performance, but I’m pretty sure everyone in the crowd was whipped with Somi at this point. She prepared a few words she learned in Tagalog and her favorite word is “Hay Nako”.

Our princess ended her set with an amazing performance with her song,  Birthday.

BAEKHYUN’s UN Village and Bambi

The headliner of the night has finally graced us with his presence! EXO’s Baekhyun finally appeared on stage with his solo debut song, UN Village. This is the second time that Manila got to see Baekhyun perform this song since EXO’s concert back in 2019. 

He also made a promise with Phixos that he’ll come back!

Baekhyun showed various performances for his Filipino fans but there is this one song that he’s yet to perform live, Bambi. The way he grooves to the song, and belts out those high notes is still jaw dropping.

The night was truly exhilarating, moments where all 3 artists went down on stage to greet their fans, and the happiness and vibes they gave was truly a euphoric feeling.
