On December 4, 2022, Nadech Kugimiya and Urassaya “Yaya” Sperbund, one of Thailand’s most beloved real-life couples, came to the Philippines for their first fan meeting in Manila at the New Frontier Theater.
The fan meeting is a true treat for the NY PH fam, who have waited a long time to meet their favorite couple. “The Crown Princess,” “Dang Jai Akkanee,” and “Game Rai Game Rak” are a few of the well-known drama series in which Nadech and Yaya starred and won the hearts of Filipinos.
At exactly 8:10PM, the super couple dazzled the Manila stage in Barbie and Ken-esque attire while singing to the OST ‘Way Back Into Love’ from the film ‘Music and Lyrics.’ Look how ‘kilig’ the crowd became when Nadech and Yaya arrived!
Following the performance, Nadech and Yaya greeted the audience with ‘Kumusta po kayo.’ and ‘Mahal naming kayo!’ in perfect Tagalog.
Nadech and Yaya each performed a song before playing a game to test how well they know each other. The host quizzed the couple, and penalized them for each incorrect answer.
One of the penalties Yaya received was to try the Philippines’ renowned Jollibee chicken, which Nadech tried and enjoyed as well. Check out their priceless reaction below:
Meanwhile, Nadech, who got a lot of incorrect answers, had no choice but to perform a sensual dance repeatedly as punishment. This made Yaya and the crowd scream in delight.

Yaya, who had never anticipated their works to reach a lot of people, conveyed her gratitude to the fans in a humble manner. Nadech professed that he feels a strong bond with NY fans in the Philippines and hopes to come back see beautiful places and meet the beautiful and the kindest people (Filipinos).
Then there was an early birthday surprise for Nadech, who turns a year older on December 17!
Time for Nadech and Yaya to exit the stage and don their second attire. A little while later, the endearing couple made their entrance, beautifully wearing a traditional Filipino outfits. They even surprised the crowd by performing the Filipino song number “Ikaw,” originally written and sang by Yeng Constantino.
When a popular song is playing, it is unusual for Filipinos to not sing along. But we were all so taken aback that we remained silent while listening to Nadech and Yaya’s perfect harmonies.
