The DESIRE of Filipino Arohas to see ASTRO’s Moonbin & Sanha is so strong that DNM Entertainment and In2une Entertainment will bring them to the Philippines for their first ever concert as a duo on March 25, 2023 at the New Frontier Theater. 

This duo has caused a widespread DIFFUSION of charm to fans, which gained them more attention and more Arohas since the debut of their sub-unit.

Who exactly is Moonbin & Sanha and how did they become a sub-unit of ASTRO?

MOONBIN

Moonbin was born in Cheongju, Chungbuk Province on January 26, 1998. He has a little sister named Moon Sua, a member of K-Pop girl group Billie. His little sister is one year younger than him. Moonbin is known to be an ulzzang and debuted as a child model in 2004. He featured in TVXQ’s ‘Balloon’ music video and a series, Boys Over Flowers, when he was younger as the younger version of Kim Bum’s character. 

Moonbin officially joined Fantagio Entertainment as a trainee when he was in 5th grade and he debuted on February 23, 2016 in a 6 member group called ASTRO. Moonbin also acted in multiple web dramas. One of the notable roles he played was Jung Oh-je in Moments of Eighteen.

SANHA

Sanha was born on March 21, 2000. He has 2 older brothers that were born 1995 and 1998. He attended A-Sound Music Academy, where he was under a vocal class and he mastered playing the guitar in 8 months. Initially, he learned how to play the guitar from his father and brothers and mastered it in school.

In the year 2012, Sanha was accepted as a Fantagio iTeen trainee. He then debuted with 6 other members in ASTRO in 2016. In 2019, he graduated highschool in Hanlim Multi Art School. 2021 was an eventful year for Sanha, who starred in a web drama, ‘Your Playlist’ and a theater show, which was a spin-off of the Broadway show ‘Altar Boyz’.  He also played Krystal Jung’s brother in the series ‘Crazy Love‘.

MOONBIN & SANHA

Both Moonbin & Sanha started hosting in Show Champion in March 2020.

This was the initial work they both had together, just the both of them, before debuting in September 2020. In an interview with Marie Claire Korea, Moonbin expressed his desire to have a performance with Sanha during their concert. This sparked the interest in starting a sub-unit despite a slight hesitance from Sanha in the beginning.

They debuted on September 14, 2020 with the album title ‘In-Out’ and they promoted this album with their title track ‘Bad Idea’.

They’ve released 2 albums since their debut as a sub-unit. Their most recent one being ‘Incense’, which was released last January 4, 2023, where they promoted with their title track, ‘Madness’.

With 3 albums on their discography as a duo, they are set to have their 1st ever fan con tour as a unit starting March 18, Seoul being their first stop and Manila being their second stop on March 25.
