K-Drama has been one of the sweet escapes and hobbies of people here in the Philippines. There’s nothing better than to have episodes to look forward to after a hard day at school or a stressful day at work.

Lee Jong Suk has been one of the K-Actors that people swooned over. From his role in the K-Drama Secret Garden, he’s already captured the attention of many fans due to his acting and good looks. He then starred in multiple romance and action dramas, namely ‘Doctor Stranger’, ‘Pinocchio’ and many more. He also made appearances in multiple dramas such as ‘Gogh, The Starry Night’, ‘Weightlifting Fairy Kim Bok-joo’, and ‘Potato Star 2013QR3’.

The actor, alongside Idol-Actor Cha Eun Woo, starred in a movie back in 2022 called ‘Decibel’. This was a notable role for him as he was the antagonist in the movie.

It showed the synergy of the two handsome actors whose characters were brothers.

Let’s go over Lee Jong Suk’s K-Drama roles that we all swooned over:

Doctor Stranger

Now we all have had our share of fantasies, but seeing Lee Jong Suk as a doctor? His ability to adapt to any role that he accepts and make it HIS, is astounding, as any actor should. In this series, Jong Suk portrayed the role of Park Hoon, a doctor who was trained in North Korea and tried to escape to South Korea.

Pinocchio

Romance, Drama, and Comedy are the usual genres that Jong Suk portrays in. His acting is truly a sight to see no matter the genre but there’s just something about him when he acts in Romance dramas. It’s the way he smiles and winks at his leading lady, and the way he acts as a significant other in the series. An oppa, if you may. He’s got that goofy side of him that also just makes everyone coo at how handsomely dorky he gets. In the K-Drama Pinocchio, he plays an aspiring news reporter who hides his identity after his father’s death.

W: Two Worlds

Lee Jong Suk as Kang Chul in the series ‘W: Two Worlds’ took the world into a whole new dimension. His character in this k-drama is a rich chaebol who lives in a different dimension from the leading lady Han Hyo Joo, who played the surgeon Oh Yeon Joo. Jong Suk in real life does look like someone straight from a web toon with his stunning physique and incredible visuals, so him as Kang Chul was indeed a perfect fit.

While You Were Sleeping

We’ve got doctor Jong Suk, Lawyer Jongsuk, News reporter Jong Suk, and now we have prosecutor Jong Suk! But he isn’t just any prosecutor, he is a prosecutor that has the ability to foresee the future. Him, alongside Bae Suzy and Jung Hae In, portray 3 adults who are in different professional fields but somehow all three have connected “dreams” relating to the future.

Big Mouth

Jong Suk acting in a noir film really hits differently. Jong Suk, alongside Girls Generation’s Yoo Na, played as husband and wife in this drama. We can see how charismatic and quick-witted Jong Suk was as he played Park Chang Ho, a lawyer who was framed and got caught up in a murder case. He was then mistaken to be “Big Mouse”, while he was in prison.
