Yes, Chef! The boys are back for the second time in the country as the actors of This Love Doesn’t Have Long Beans series; Sailub, Pon, Benz, and Garfield held their first fan meeting at Teatrino Promenade, Greenhills, on November 23, 2024.
The scent of freshly picked basil stirred the air as the Thai actors Sailub Hemmawich Kwanamphaiphan, “Pon” Thanapon Aiemkumchai, Benz Atthanin Thaninpanuvivat, and “Garfield” Pantach Kankham returned to Manila last Saturday. They had previously visited the country on June 22 of this year for their Pitbabe ‘Love’s Journey’ fan meeting.
During the event, they performed the official soundtrack “Stop” from their series to open the stage.
It was quirky and charming to see them introduce themselves in Filipino, and they nailed it! The show was chopped into different sections, including quick interviews, games, and performances.
The characters they portray in This Love Doesn’t Have Long Beans are quite different from their past roles. They shared how challenging it was to play these new characters as chefs, businessmen, and physical therapist, but it was also fun because they had the chance to learn from it. As Pon mentioned, he enjoyed his role as Plawan because of the character’s energetic personality.
The Krapao gang also played some fun games that we truly enjoyed. Things got even more exciting when Benz and Garfield spiced up the game Tell Me, Tell Me, How Much.
Sailub and Pon also wore their costumes from the series as Chef Oab and Plawan. They made their own version of the famous Filipino dessert halo-halo, which became even sweeter when they jokingly told the audience to share it with everyone.
It was a great experience to hear and see them perform live, especially with our favorite tracks from the series, “You Fill My Heart” and “No Lies.”
The passion of the Filipino fans was evident, as they prepared a special video and gifts for the boys.
Love is in the air! It was all worth it to watch them live. One thing I noticed was how they engaged with their fans— you could truly see how genuine they were toward them. The energy remained high until the end of the show, even during the fan benefits segment. Everyone enjoyed the various flavors they shared. It was a mix-mix of emotions but they served up a beautiful experience until the very end.
We would like to thank Wish Us Luck Entertainment for bringing the boys back to the country once again!
