Seonhohadas slowly started to fill the Mall of Asia Arena around late afternoon last January 22, 2023. Despite the usual Philippine heat, you could still hear and see them buzzing with excitement as they moved up the line entering the arena.

As show time approached, a palpable sense of anticipation was felt all over the arena. The lights dimmed, and the VCR rolled. Seon-ho appears on stage with his opening song and greats his fans “Kamusta kayong lahat, Namiss ko kayo.” Which means, “How are you guys? I missed you.”. Beside Seon-ho was Ms. Kring Kim, as the host for that night.

He introduced himself for his Filipino Seonhohadas, “Hello, I am actor Kim Seon-ho. I’m happy to be here and happy to see you all.” He expressed that he was extremely shocked with how filled the huge venue is when he came out to perform his first song. He was grateful for all the cheers and the warm welcome his fans gave him.

The first segment of the night is SEON HO’s DRAMA TALK, where in clips of Seon-ho’s past dramas were flashed on screen and he was tasked to recreate the scenes with a few lucky fans.

Clips from ‘Home Town Cha Cha Cha’, ‘Start Up’, and ‘Catch The Ghost’ were played for him to re-enact with the selected fans. This is where the tale of the many brides came about, one of the lucky selected fans was dressed as a bride and all of a sudden the fans in the crowd wearing wedding dresses stood out more to Seon-ho which made him shy and chuckle cutely. “I should have dressed more formally for this event. You guys are seriously the best.”

A corner during his fan meeting in Korea became a huge hit, and it surely became a fun segment here in Philippines as well. 2023 Kim Seon Ho Awards! In this segment he was given choices about certain filipino food he’d like to try or is curious about. He expressed his curiosity about sinigang, which is a sour soup with a tamarind base. He did choose pancit as the food he likes most here in the Philippines as it reminds him of japchae. The Filipino dessert he wants to try the most is bibingka, which is a baked rice cake that is native the the Philippines. Laughs erupted from the crowd when he said that it looked like pizza based on the picture, but since he likes rice cake, he said he’d like to try bibingka.

More lucky fans got selected for more game segments with Seon-ho. There were solo games like balancing on one foot or staring contest and Team Games with Seon-ho.

He expressed that despite getting tired from the team games, he still feels happy and excited for the rest of the activities.

There was also a segment where he played by himself and if he failed to do a challenge, he had to do a punishment. The punishments that he got were 3 pose photo time, recording a morning call, and of course, aegyo!

The night is finally coming to an end after an eventful set of activities. Seon-ho gave his final MENT and expressed his gratitude to his lovely Seonhohadas who came to see him.

To end the night, he sang his song ‘Reason (이유)’. Everyone started to get emotional as the last few lines of the song was sang by Seon-ho and as he was about to say his final farewell, a video fan project was shown on screen and Seonhohadas expressed in the video that they will be by his side, hand in hand, through the good times and the bad. No matter how difficult life gets, we’ll always find a reason to smile and for Seon-ho and his fans, their reason to smile is each other.

And with that, we’d like to thank PULP LIVE WORLD and HAPPEE HOUR for making this wonderful event happen.
