THE SHOW

We were greeted by a thrilling stage setup, horrifying lights, and ominous sounds that captured the Halloween spirit. To elevate the experience, a swarm of zombies were deployed to chase and scare the audience, adding to the entertainment while waiting for the show to begin.

Lady Gagita, Lady Morgana, and Minty Fresh from Drag Race Philippines were the first to take the stage in stunning transformations.

Lady Gagita, a Lady Gaga impersonator, delivered a stunning ‘Paparazzi’ performance with a gruesome Halloween twist. Lady Morgana got the crowd going with her rendition of Whitney Houston’s ‘I Wanna Dance with Somebody.’ Finally, Minty Fresh, who impersonated Ariana Grande, had the audience singing along to ‘Break Free.’

The queens filled the entire MOA Arena with both entertainment and amusement with their jaw-dropping performances, which ended with a ‘BANG BANG!’

GAHO, South Korea’s well-known Vocal King and the voice behind popular K-Drama ‘Itaewon Class’ and ‘Start-Up’ OSTs took the stage next, accompanied by his very promising band, KAVE (Kekinu, OWNR, Hyun, and the crowd favorite, Jisang.)

We were completely immersed as soon as the instruments began to play. And it’s impossible not to be captivated by Gaho’s flawless singing voice. ‘Start Over,’ ‘Running,’ ‘Beautiful Night,’ and a rock rendition of BLACKPINK’s ‘How You Like That’ were among the songs performed by the band. One of my personal favorites was when they performed ‘Right Now,’ which was uplifting and powerful in a ways I could never have imagined. Gaho was amazed with the Filipino crowd and expressed his desires to have his own concert in the Philippines someday.

I’d like to express my gratitude to ‘INANG’ Happee Sy for giving the Filipino K-POP community the chance to learn more about GAHO x KAVE. Once again you are paving the way for amazing talents to meet their future fans!

Next to perform was multi-national K-Pop idol group, PENTAGON, who came out looking fresh even with Halloween makeup on!

They opened with an energetic rendition of their bop song ‘Feelin Like,’ followed by sweet renditions of ‘Sparkling Night’ and ‘Beautiful Goodbye.’ Their next song was ‘Call My Name,’ followed by their catchy hit song ‘Shine,’ which had the audience jumping out of their seats.

The boys expressed their joy at being back in the Philippines and acknowledged the presence of many of their fans, UNIVERSE, in the audience.

The Philippines’ very own P-pop boy group, BGYO, were also among the artists who performed at the event.

They boys showcased their powerful singing and dancing abilities as they performed fan favorites ‘The Light’ and ‘The Baddest.’ They serenaded their fans with ‘Kundiman’ and debuted their new song, ‘Magnet.’

BGYO’s performances were powerful, from the vocals to the dance choreography. Indeed, they did an excellent job in showcasing Filipino talent.

As the only P-pop boy group in the lineup, the boys expressed their gratitude for being a part of such a large event alongside big K-POP artists. And I must say, given their level of performance, it’s well deserved!

KARD took the stage next with their recent song ‘Ring the Alarm,’ looking hot in their edgy Halloween costumes. Followed by a sexy ‘Oh NaNa’ performance.

The members expressed how much they missed the Filipino crowd. They also mentioned how food is unique to the Philippines and expressed a desire to dine at ‘Jollibee.’

The co-ed group continued the performance with ‘Red Moon,’ ‘Don’t Recall,’ ‘Dumb Litty,’ and ‘Bomb Bomb,’ which the audience absolutely loved!

The night only gets better as South Korean hip hop legends EPIK HIGH take the stage, hyping up the audience with songs like ‘NO THANXXX,’ ‘Burj Khalifa,’ ‘Born Hater,’ and ‘Don’t Hate Me.’

The trio’s unique introduction simply set the playful, party-like tone of the evening. To ensure the fans receive complete fan service, they even threw a signed T-shirt to the audience, which made everyone go wild and stand on their feet throughout their performance.

Indeed, these legends know how to put on a memorable show!

When you thought it couldn’t get any more intense, the iconic ‘Naega Jeil Jal Naga’ would start playing in the background. Then Queen CL takes the stage for a ‘SPICY’ performance followed by ‘HWA’ and the ‘The Baddest Female.’

She then transitions to a mellow rendition of ‘5 STAR’ before resuming her energy with ‘Tie a Cherry’ and ‘Dr. Pepper.’

CL even walked down the stage to get a better look at the audience while performing, ‘Lover Like Me.’

Fans erupted when she performed, ‘MTBD,’ which she hadn’t done in a long time.

The energy is still high for her final performance, ‘Hello Bitches.’ It’s amazing how the fans are all just jamming with her throughout her set.

Bonus:

CL was the sweetest when she returned to announce the Best in Costume winners!

Now we’re down to the last act.

DJ SODA, looked absolutely stunning in her Spiderman costume. But, it was her adorable personality and edgy skills that stood out the most about her.

Ain’t it a treat? DJ SODA leading the after party is such a blast!

Halloween is over, but Hallyuween, we ain’t getting over! Special thanks to PULP Live World for allowing us to experience the Event Of The Year – HALLYUWEEN 2022.
