“Maligayang Pasko,” a favorite phrase he picked up from his fans, was how Thai actor Tay Tawan welcomed the audience. Teaching the same phrase to New Thitipoom, Off Jumpol, and Gun Atthaphan, the four actors delivered a warm greeting to their Filipino fans on their first-ever Beluca 1st Fanmeeting in Manila at the New Frontier Theater on December 16, 2023!
Each of the four performed as a solo, duet, or group, showcasing Thai culture as well as popular Thai songs and OSTs from boys love series!
Off expressed his gratitude for making his day and stated his wish to return every month to meet the most loud crowd, while Gun added that despite the lengthy journey, the Filipino fans gave him so much energy and were pleased by the fans’ excitement! Meanwhile, Tay Tawan said that the event was the “best” Christmas gift he’d ever received and that he wishes to return next year, while New thanked the fans for the warm greeting from the airport to the fan gathering proper!
By the end of the event, Filipino fans had organized a fan project for the actors. The performers were moved by the words from fans, as well as the statement from the host Ms. Mela, who told them that Off, Gun, Tay, and New are seen as pandemic heroes by many people, who rescued them during that time.
From the characters of “Dark Blue Kiss” and “Theory Of Love,” who provided us a place to call home during those times, meeting Tay, New, Off, and Gun all at once was incredibly wonderful. It was indeed a highly successful and warm event to cap the year for BL lovers, the earliest and nicest Christmas present fans could possibly hope for!
