The scent of ‘Vanilla’ was prominent as NCTzens gather around the Mall of Asia Arena to get freebies and banners from fellow fans. That and of course to attend NCT DoJaeJung’s FanCon in Manila.
NCT DoJaeJung is a sub-unit from NCT that we didn’t know we needed. From Doyoung’s diverse vocals, Jaehyun’s visuals and deep voice, to Jungwoo’s amazing dance lines and smooth vocals. The three were given a chance to give more emphasis to their flavorful vocals in this unit and we are in HEAVEN.
Who knew heaven smelt like ‘Vanilla’?
Let’s recount the events that happened during the NCT DOJAEJUNG’S SCENTED SYMPHONY: ‘PERFUME’ FANCON IN MANILA.
First of all, they really had no business looking that sexy in those white suits when they came up on stage to perform ‘Kiss’.
Everyone could collectively agree that these three exuded so much grace, charisma, and flair during their performances.
The boys were then joined by the host, Ms. Sam Oh on stage and they greeted Czennies in Tagalog and everyone cheered.
During their question and answer portion, they were suddenly asked “What is their STATUS?”. In a Filipino setting, this would usually relate to their relationship status but for that specific question it meant about what they’re currently getting busy with.
Our main vocalist Doyoung even did a ‘sample’ from his OST, Like a Star.
After many questions, it was time for a deep DIVE into DoJaeJung’s performance. It was a performance that left fans dumbstruck. The boys moved sensually and smoothly along with the song, which gained them screams.
Another performance that got Czennies up and screaming their lungs out was, ‘Can We Go Back’. This was the song that hinted at the start of this sub-unit, our queen.
Jaehyun made sure that everyone knew that they were gonna perform their title track, ‘Perfume’. You can truly feel that everyone knew this song by heart because everyone was belting out the lyrics like we were at a karaoke.
Unfortunately, every event must come to an end. DoJaeJung performs their “final” song of the night, ‘Ordinary’.
BUT wait, there’s actually ONE MORE! The night ended with the boys singing ‘Strawberry Sunday’. Everyone grooved and sang together with the boys with this last song.
Those 2 hours were well spent with Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Jungwoo. From the laughs, the songs, and the screams we shared with them. Until the next concert, DoJaeJung!
