Although this was Kang Daniel’s fourth time performing in the Philippines (his first was at the Smart Araneta Coliseum, his second and third at the Mall of Asia Arena), this was his first time holding a concert here as a solo artist. Nevertheless, Kang Daniel never fails to deliver, and this time is no exception.

Here’s why…

Well-planned setlist that showcased Kang Daniel’s charms

As soon as the stage is set and it’s time for the concert to begin, the cheers start filling up the whole venue. With Filipino Danitys’ loudest voice, scream and shout, Kang Daniel opened the show with “Flash” followed by “Parade,” “Don’t Tell,” “Waves,” and “Touchin’”.

We knew right away that it was going to be a night to remember as Kang Daniel delighted fans with a setlist made up of some of his most popular songs. He said he purposefully combined his songs Don’t Tell and Waves because of their similarities in tone and style, thinking Danitys would enjoy it.

After that, Kang Daniel continued to perform other songs like “Jealous,” “2U,” “Upside Down,” and many more. During his ment, he mentioned that he was performing the majority of the songs on the setlist for the first time in front of his Filipino Danitys. It’s true, and any fans who have been closely following him would be aware. Hence, there was no denying that they were thrilled to hear him sing these songs live.

Kang Daniel is a solid all-rounder performer

We all know that Kang Daniel is an exceptional performer. He is such a great dancer that his movements are so fluid and refined. He has an amazing sense of rhythm and he knows how to move around the stage with ease. But, that does not make him less of a singer.

With his unmistakably soulful voice, he sang his ballad songs incredibly well. He has this power to make songs enjoyable and memorable even though they were supposed to be emotional and sad.

Soulful. Powerful. That’s how we could define Kang Daniel when we heard “Misunderstood,” “Loser,” “1000x,” and “Moment.” And if one had listened to his music before coming to the concert, they could attest how much better he sounded in person.

Simple but genuine fan interactions

Kang Daniel made sure to engage with his fans as much as possible in a special segment called “Balance Game.” The Danitys had the opportunity to ask him questions during this session, and it was immediately clear how much they knew about the celebrity based on their responses.

He also expressed profound sentiments like how happy he was to reunite with his Filipino fans after a long time, how he hoped his concert would help his fans decompress, and how he even moved closer to the crowd to interact with them.

Kang Daniel brings the show to a close with “Adulthood” as his encore, and extends his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who contributed to its success.

We were so moved by Kang Daniel that evening that we are at a loss for words; yet, we are confident to say that Kang Daniel did not disappoint everyone who attended the show! He was able to leave the crowd wanting for more, and we’re certainly looking forward to the next one!

We would like to thank Wilbros Live for making Kang Daniel “First Parade” in Manila possible!
