Thanks to his powerful performance, the series became a huge success, and he earned the “Best New Actor” award later that year.

2011 – City Hunter

Lee Minho took on a very different role in City Hunter as Lee Yoon-sung, a skilled agent seeking revenge against the corrupt elite. This action-packed drama showcased his versatility as an actor and won him the Best Actor award at the 4th Korea Drama Awards.

2016 – Legend of the Blue Sea

This fantasy-romance series was a refreshing twist! Lee Minho played Heo Joon-jae, a charming con artist who uses his good looks and wit to scam the wealthy—until he meets a real-life mermaid. Set in two timelines (the Joseon era and modern day), this unique story became a hit and was especially memorable as it was Minho’s last drama before enlisting for military service.

2020 – The King: Eternal Monarch

A grand comeback! After finishing his military service, Lee Minho returned in The King: Eternal Monarch. He portrayed Emperor Lee Gon, who discovers a parallel universe. The fantasy-romance series was highly anticipated and well-loved by fans.

2025 – When the Stars Gossip

His latest drama takes things to space! Lee Minho plays Gong Ryong, an obstetrician-gynecologist. The story revolves around an astronaut and a space tourist who meet and fall in love aboard a space station.
