DKB made their comeback after nine months with the release of “I Need Love,” which is included on their sixth mini album of the same name. Members E-Chan, Teo, D1, GK, Heechan, Lune, Junseo, Yuku, and Harry June recently joined the JTBC survival show, “Peak Time,” where they demonstrated their brotherhood and strong teamwork in addition to being the life of the show and constantly bringing good and bright energy to the program. The group delivered outstanding performances and finished in the top four in the competition.Β

Their fan base grew as a result of the program mentioned earlier, and BBs (DKB fandom) were eager to find out what the group had in store for the future! Less than two months after Peak Time ended, DKB announced a comeback, much to the surprise of supporters.Β

Over the course of their comebacks and albums, DKB has become known for their R&B and Hip-hop sound. This time, they continue in the genre but take a more laid-back approach, which heightened the anticipation among their fans when the teaser videos were released.

Members wore light pastel pink colors for the first time, which piqued fans’ interest because they had not before worn such clothing in their music videos. They seem to be in dire need of love, which is suggested by the melody’s beautiful opening. Unlike other DKB songs, the chorus features less intensive dancing and a hypnotic aspect that almost puts you in a trance.

There are isolated scenes of the members at the first half of the music video, in which the members are either running for something or feeling free in the open, adding to their vulnerability and need for love and comfort, as well as for someone to reach out to them and keep them from becoming lost.

In contrast to these, the second half of the music video is filled with cheery and happy scenes of individuals having fun while dancing, playing, and listening to music. This may be a representation of the youthful, carefree lads who have likely found the love they were looking for.

Following the completion of the Peak Time concert in Seoul on May 5, 6, 7, 2023, the group will actively promote their comeback single.Β  Who knows, maybe fans may see ‘I Need Love’ at the upcoming Peak Time performance in Busan on June 24 and 25, 2023. Peak Time worldwide concert has also recently been announced, and foreign fans may be able to watch it as well, however the dates, venue, and groups involved have yet to be announced.

DKB has thus far shown that they have challenged themselves in a number of ways, such as by writing music and exploring genres, creating choreography for their own songs, putting on stunts and acrobatics, and giving us the cherry on top performances each and every time. We are excited to watch what they will do in the future. At the moment, we’re really excited to see their “I Need Love” promotions!
