It brings back a lot of memories when Hori7on’s announced their comeback on August 13, 2024, with a hit single from the 70’s entitled “Sumayaw, Sumunod.” It was a remake from a prominent Filipino band, The Boyfriend.

Step by step, we are finally here! A year passed after we interviewed them, but we are still excited to know Hori7on. Check out our exclusive interview!

Everyone was having a roller-coaster of emotions about this sudden release, especially for all the Anchors (Hori7on’s fandom name) and Filipinos as well, because it was a popular song back then. Until now, people can still recognize this song, and there’s no doubt that this song will be in the hearts of Filipinos. Hori7on’s decided to take this song to another level, and they added their own flavor and uniqueness to this single. It was a bold movement to be able to come up with this kind of comeback because it was unusual to remake Filipino songs and eventually promote them in South Korea. The songs that they made were mostly in Korean or English; it was merely between those two languages. But then again, in this comeback, they really lift up where they came from and who they are. A group that is not afraid to show that they are Filipino, and we can genuinely see in them that they are proud of it.

On their 2nd Single Showcase Comeback held last August 13 at the SM Skydome, there were fun facts about the process of making the music and the music video itself. Check out the Media Conference for HORI7ON Digital Single Release: ‘Sumayaw Sumunod’!

There were questions given to the members, and we were impressed with how they engaged with each one of them. We were thrilled when they announced that this song would have three versions written in Korean, English, and Filipino! As they showcase their new single, it has a nostalgic feeling to listen to an old song and make it into a fresh and new look. A way to introduce a new summer anthem. It had a satisfying feeling when we first heard of it, especially with the Filipino vibe and taste. Surely, it will never go wrong to promote another hit song to a new generation. “Sumayaw, Sumunod” has a refreshing quality, classic with a new added kick to it. They are exploring new things that have never been seen, and we were impressed and delighted.

Furthermore, this approach is to encourage everyone globally to listen to and appreciate Filipino artists and their music because we are progressing over the years and we want to showcase the talents and skills that we have to be recognized across the world. The rookie group, Hori7on, is making their own way to reach their dreams and goals. Promoting in other countries is already a huge achievement for us, and we will still continue supporting these groups over a long period of time.

Let’s dance and have fun with Hori7on’s second single, “Sumayaw, Sumunod,” available on all media platforms.

Huge thanks to MLD Entertainment and DNM Entertainment for making this awesome comeback possible!
