AOMG and GOT7’s YUGYEOM came to meet fans in Manila for his first-ever solo concert in Asia, which took place on August 19, 2022 at the New Frontier Theater.
#YUGYEOMLiveInManila was a night filled with wonderful music and cheers from PH AHGASES, and here are the seven takeaways that every fan should know about!
1. It’s a Party!
DJ Wegun, a South Korean DJ, performed as the show’s opening act. He created fantastic mixes to keep people entertained before Yugyeom makes his arrival. Every song DJ Wegun played had PH Ahgases jumping and singing along!
2. PH Ahgase Supremacy
PH Ahgases never disappoint, from turning the venue green with their GOT7 lightsticks to screaming their lungs out throughout the concert. Yugyeom is the fourth member of GOT7 to travel to Manila for a solo activity this year, yet Ahgases made sure each venue is full. Yugyeom felt it as he mentioned that he was nervous to come to Manila alone, but after seeing Ahgases presence, he isn’t nervous anymore.
3. Non-stop Music and Jam
Yugyeom kicked off the concert with “I Want U Around (Feat. DeVita)”, followed by “Running Through The Rain”, and “When You Fall”. No hosts, no interviews, and no VCRs. It’s just Yugyeom and the fans throughout the show. He talked to fans and introduced his own music.
4. Yugyeom’s Vocals
We’re amazed at how beautiful and angelic Yugyeom’s voice is live. His vocal tone is enticing and he delivered all his songs flawlessly.
5. Power Dancer!
It’s no surprise that Yugyeom is a powerful dancer. But seeing him at the center performing a whole dance routine is a different kind of experience! You must see for yourselves below:
6. Refreshing
This isn’t your typical K-Pop concert. Yugyeom’s styled in a different way, and it was refreshing to see his raw skills as he sang all 15 songs live in between rigorous dance routines. He also articulated himself nicely when introducing his music.
7. Dandelion Tattoo
We were not expecting it, but Yugyeom flashing his iconic dandelion tattoo awakened everyone!
