The Thai entertainment industry has been known for quite some time now. Back during its release in 2010, “Crazy Little Thing Called Love” was a hit in many countries garnering attention for the Thai entertainment industry.
Since then, there had been plenty of series or dramas (“Lakorn”) released through the years that became famous. One of them is a Y-Series or BL series called TharnType, in which Gulf Kanawut acted as the main character with Mew Suppasit. Gulf rose to fame through this series and garnered plenty of endorsements from different brands both local and overseas.
If you don’t know who Gulf Kanawut, here’s 5 facts about him to start you with:
1. His name is Kanawut Traipipattanapong, otherwise known by his nickname Gulf.
“Gulf” Kanawut Traipipattanapong was born on December 4, 1997. He started his career in 2015 as both a model and an actor. TharnType, where he acted as Type, became the breakthrough of his career as it gained popularity overseas and in Thailand.
2. His favorite sport is football/soccer.
Gulf is known to be a fan of football. He often plays the sport with fellow actors in the industry such as Bright, Nanon, and Ohm.
3. Gulf has a cat!
Gulf has a cat, a cute cat named Hazard.
4. Graduated from King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi.
Studying while working is no easy task but Gulf is one of the few actors in the industry that was able to do both at the same time. Gulf graduated last 2020 with a degree in Industrial Education and Technology.
5. He was part of a boy band.
Gulf was one of the 10 boys that were part of the boy band project “Boyfriends” where he released his first single “Missing Baby” with War Wanarat.
Later on they had a concert called “Be My Boyfriends” to commemorate the end of the project.
