Between Us The Series is one of the most awaited BL series from Studio Wabi Sabi after the release of Until We Meet Again. The story is connected to the previous series, but in the same timeline and not after. Wish Us Luck has brought many Thai artists to the Philippines and they took it upon themselves to bring us the cast of Between Us The Series for their first ever fanmeeting in the Philippines called “Between Me and You: Between Us The Series Fanmeeting in Manila 2023” this May 28, 2023, at the SM North EDSA Skydome.
What is it about this series that got us on a chokehold? Here are 5 moments that got us swooning over each of the couples.
Hia Win and Team started the situationship out of the desire that Win felt for Team. Win’s always been the type to just have flings and never really committed to being in a relationship. Then Team came along and made him feel things. In the whole series, there had been a lot of push and pull between the two, but one thing that made us swoon during the early episodes, was when Team slept over Win ’s dorm, the latter then took a bath and asked to borrow a uniform from Hia Win. The two even argued about tying the necktie, which in the end, the older din for his nong.
Pruek, a member of the swim team along with Win, Dean, and Team, caught the eye of Manaow when they bumped into each other. Manaow is the friend of Team and Pharm, who coincidentally have love interests in the University’s swim team. Although it took time for both Pruek and Manaow to come to terms with the building feelings they had for each other, they both still had the more established relationship between the friend group. It just hits different with this couple, as Manaow always tried to be the person who’s just happy and who doesn’t want others to see her struggles. Then comes Pruek who’s ready to greet her with sweet words, hugs, and he’d always tell Manaow that she can do everything as long as she puts her heart to it.
The next couple had a different struggle in how their relationship was built. One being an actor and one a normal college student who is also in the swim team. Bee, a freshman in university who joined the swim team, fell for his classmate who was always absent due to schedules as an actor. Said actor, Prince, makes his first appearance in class when they had a group project assigned and Bee was his groupmate. They slowly started getting closer and soon enough, Bee started to be Prince’s “rest”. The struggle for them was to keep everything down low as one was an actor and had a very strict manager. The moment that struck us the most was when Prince came to watch Bee’s swim competition and they had a little tryst in the bathroom of the gym.
Pharm and Dean may not be one of the main couples in this series, but they sure did make an impact with how they instantly felt a connection with each other. (If you know, you know. But if you don’t, go ahead and watch the previous installment, Until We Meet Again.) Out of all the couples, these two were the most mature but at the same time the shyest. We swooned when Dean invited Pharm to the floating resort, it was his way with words that made everything kilig.
